It’s really quite simple! The translators of the King James Bible changed the Greek word for Passover (Pascha Πάσχα) to Easter in Acts 12:4. That’s it! It allowed the KJV translators to change the one Passover into Easter, because King James preferred Passover to be known as Easter all the way back to after the Crucifixion of Jesus.
The earliest recorded observance of an Easter celebration comes from the 2nd century...
There are endless debates about the origin of Easter, most of them attributing Alexander Hislop’s pamphlet The Two Babylons, but they are simply distractions. Many still accept the history while others attempt to debunk it.
The only thing to know is that Passover was replaced as Easter within the first three centuries A.D. and the still popular KJV version of the Bible purposely mistranslated it in modern times. The KJV was partially based on the work of William Tyndale, who incorrectly translated Pascha to Easter 29 times in the New Testament!
Easter always lands on a Sunday in the Gregorian/Julian calendar while the true passover should be celebrated 14 days after the first new moon after the vernal equinox. Easter is completely bogus, but most Christians simply don’t care about actual truth unfortunately.
